Stephen has joined the Metropolitan Police for a walkabout on Green Street during Neighbourhood Policing Week

Neighbourhood Policing Week began on 21 June. It highlights the work of local policing teams and provides an opportunity for residents and community representatives to engage directly with officers.

During the visit, Stephen met with police officers working in East Ham and saw first-hand the work being carried out to keep the local area safe. The walkabout included discussions with officers about local concerns, visibility on the streets, and the importance of building trust with residents and businesses.

Speaking afterwards, Stephen said: “It was very good to join local officers on Green Street and see the work they are doing in the community. Neighbourhood policing plays a vital role in keeping people safe and in building strong relationships with residents and local businesses. I am grateful to the team for their commitment and their work in East Ham.”
