Stephen writes to Foreign Secretary following escalation of violence

Stephen has written to the Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly outlining his concerns that Israel was planning a “complete siege” of Gaza.

In his letter, Stephen noted that many innocent Palestinians living in Gaza were going without food, water, electricity and vital medicines. He asked for reassurances that Ministers were working with other actors in the region to create a safe corridor which would allow for vital humanitarian access.

Stephen also asked the Foreign Secretary what the prospects were for a ceasefire in the region. You can read the letter in full by clicking here.

A response from the Foreign Secretary, when received, will be posted on the Middle East Hub.
