| | BBC World Service: Having faith in Newham | |

| | Registration & Govenance Workshop | |
Newham is an incredibly diverse community, and is home to over 30 Mosques and numerous Muslim organisations all of which make a huge contribution to lives across the borough. The Charity Commission's Faith and Social Cohesion Unit will be holding a Registration and Governance workshop on Thursday 17 July at 7pm, at Minhaj Ui Quran Mosque specifically for Muslim organisations and Mosques. I'd urge anyone involved in these types of organisations to go along and meet the Commission's staff on Thursday. This will be an excellent opportunity to find out more about the many benefits of registering as a charity, and if you are already registered, to get advice on issues which affect your organisation such as governance and fundraising. For more information about the event, please contact the team in the Faith and Social Cohesion Unit at fscuinfo@charitycommission.gsi.gov.uk or call 020 7674 2442. |
