There has been a considerable amount of attention paid recently to the allowances that are claimed by Members of Parliament.  I have written a page for this website which explains exactly how my allowances have been spent.  On 18 May 2009, I also made available all of my receipts from April 2004-March 2008 through this website, one month ahead of them being published by the House of Commons.  more...

   BBC World Service: Having faith in Newham

In January 2008, I accompanied political journalist Sean Curran on a series of interviews with leaders in places of worship around Newham, for the BBC Radio World Service "Politics UK" programme.  I told Sean that faith is a very good starting point for being involved in the community.
