Stephen Timms will host a drop-in Debt and Money Advice Clinic on Monday 16 March at East Ham Town Hall from 10am – 1pm.
Attending the event will be representatives from top charities and organisations specialising in debt and money advice, such as Citizens Advice Bureau; Christians Against Poverty; Newham Council; London Community Credit Union and Community Links. They will be at hand to offer free advice and support to all attendees on a range of financial and debt related issues.
Alongside the Debt and Money Advice Clinic, Stephen and his team will also be holding Stephen’s regular advice drop-in clinic and no prior appointments are necessary for this clinic.
Speaking about the event, Stephen said, “I am contacted on a regular basis by constituents who are struggling with money worries. Many people do not know where to turn to for support and advice about money issues and end up suffering in silence.
That is why the Debt and Money Advice Clinic is so important, as it will give residents the chance to talk through the problems they are facing with some of the best charities and organisations across east London.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank those organisations who have agreed to be a part of what I am sure will be a helpful and successful event.”
