When Ed Miliband became Leader of the Labour Party, he appointed me as the Party's Faith Envoy.
As the Labour Party's Faith Envoy, it is my responsibility to help develop the Party's links with faith groups. The early Labour Party had deep roots in the Church, and the influence of faith remains with us today. As a Party, we want to engage in a proper dialogue with faith groups because we believe that by working together we can make a real difference in our world.
On the page you will find copies of the Churches and Mosque Updates, which I use to promote this conversation between organisations and the party across the country. You will also find messages to different faith groups from the Prime Minister on a variety of subjects.
If you are a member of a faith community, or even if you are not, I would like to encourage you to join our email mailing list at www.labour.org.uk/faith. This will ensure that you are kept up to date with new developments that might affect, interest, or inspire you as a citizen who values faith perspectives in politics.
If I can be of any assistance whatsoever in your valuable work across the country, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
