This morning I visited Brampton Manor School for the opening of "The Place", a new inter-faith prayer and reflection room. Pupils from the school were responsible for planning this project. I then went on to Durning Hall in Forest Gate, where I met with Ian Powell, the CEO of Aston-Mansfield, for a catch up on the work they are doing in East London. Next I attended a meeting at the Town Hall with officers from the planning department, and then in the afternoon I paid a visit to Newham City Farm where I planted a couple of trees in memory of the Farm's founder, David Webster. I also attended a meeting at Plaistow Hospital in connection to discuss issues relating to dentistry services in East London, and then finished the day by holding a surgery in Beckton.
