This morning I visited two schools - Sandringham Primary School in Forest Gate and St Stephen's Primary School in East Ham - before speaking to a couple of journalists about my visit to Pakistan earlier this month. You can find out more about my visit to Pakistan here. In the afternoon I paid a visit to the Stratford training centre of Tube Lines - the company responsible for the maintenance, renewal and upgrade of the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines on the London Underground. In the afternoon I paid a visit to Shaftesbury Primary School in Forest Gate, and then met with David O'Brien of the East London Business Alliance. Later in the afternoon I met with some of the staff of the Housing Department at Newham Council, to discuss a few issues which had raised with me by my constituents, before ending the day by attending the meeting of the Newham Youth Parliament at East Ham Town Hall.
