MP becomes a master of arts…thanks to school visit (16/07/10)

Stephen Timms, MP for East Ham, visited Gallions Primary School last Friday, 16 July.  Along with discussing the school’s future goals and ambitions, the visit allowed Mr Timms to congratulate pupils and staff on their ‘Arts Extravaganza’ which was held on that day.

On his arrival, Mr Timms was met by Head teacher Paul Jackson and talked about the school’s recent progress.  Mr Timms presented prizes to the brother and sister team who were winners of the “Gallions’ Got Talent” competition, and also spent time speaking to parents and staff at the school.

After the visit Mr Timms said: “I very much enjoyed my visit to Gallions School.  I was impressed to see talented young pupils expressing their creative skills. With so many changes ahead in our area, and the prospect of many new opportunities opening up, I was pleased to see children at Gallions being so well prepared to take advantage of them.”
